Jun 21 2008	Otley Carnival Our Year 6 pupils performed Samba music at Otley Carnival.
Jun 19 2008	Malham Visit Our Year 3 pupils have just returned from an exciting Residential visit to Malham.
Jun 9 2008	Countryside Day Year 4 and Year 5 pupils visited the "Countryside Day" at the Yorkshire Showground where they learned lots about countryside traditions and customs. We had lots of fun too!
Jun 9 2008	Staff Canoeing The Staff enjoyed an evening canoeing at Yeadon Tarn followed by fish and chips at Murgatroyds Restaurant.
Apr 24 2008	Helicopter Visits School We had a very exciting visit from Heliwise recently. The helicopter came to take areial photographs of the school and all our pupils wore coloured tee shirts to create a picture of a smiling face.
Apr 16 2008	Netball Our netball team played really well in their first match against Otley Westgate School, winning 8-4. A big thank you to Miss Willis, Mrs Henderson and Miss Conway for arranging our practices after school.
Apr 9 2008	Road Safety Year 1, Year 2 and Year 4 pupils worked with Leeds Road Safety Unit. They were learning to be safe around our roads. Here is a picture of some Year 4 pupils crossing safely in Pool.
Mar 9 2008	Didgeridoo Day Ed Oxley worked with our Y6 pupils as part of their Aborigine topic. Every child made their own didgeridoo and they entertained the whole school with Aborigine music and dance at the end of the day.
Mar 3 2008	Willow Sculpture We had a visit from willow sculptor Phil Bradley. Y4 all worked really hard throughout the day to produce a super willow arbour and archways on our new "Grow it, Cook it, Eat it " plots.
Feb 6 2008	Y5 & Y6 Rugby Y5 & Y6 have been enjoying Rugby coaching with Adam from Leeds Carnegie.
Feb 5 2008	Pancake Races Lots of Children made pancakes in school on Shrove Tuesday. Year 6 even had a pancake race!
Dec 7 2007	Y5 dancing at the Otley Victorian Fair Y5 and Y6 took part in the Otley Victorian Fair. Here children from Y5, dressed in period costume, entertain the shoppers in Orchard Gate.
Nov 13 2007	Clarke Hall Y4 visited Clarke Hall in relation to their studies on Tudors.
Oct 31 2007	Inside Out Year 6 have been enjoying Samba rhythms with the Inside Out team.
Sep 19 2007	Visitors from Norway We welcomed a visit from four Norwegian student teachers. They worked in every classroom and told us about Norwegian life.

Jul 12 2007	YReception winners in the Flower, Fruit & Veg Show The winners from YReception show off their entries, with the Judge of the show, Mrs Clark and Mrs Parnaby. The entry was the overall winner of the show, well done!
Jul 6 2007	Y4 Trip to Yeadon Tarn The first group set off on the Orienteering course around a very wet Yeadon Tarn.

Jun 12 2007	Y5 and Y6 at the Countryside Day Y5 won the 'Model Garden Bird' competition.
Jun 5 2007	Healthy School Award We were presented with our Advanced Healthy School Award by Chris Edwards, chief executive for Education Leeds, and someone that Harry Potter fans may recognise.
Jun 5 2007	Leeds in Bloom Gold Award We won First Prize; a Gold award and glass trophy, in the schools' section of the Spring competition.
Apr 28 2007	The School Hockey Team. Y6 played well on a cold Saturday at the tournament in Ben Rhydding.
Apr 26 2007	Swincar Nurseries. Y5 saw the biggest spade in the world and planted a sunflower each.
Apr 24 2007	Visit to Harlow Carr. Y5 learnt about plant shapes, smells and sizes, and surveyed the insects.
Mar 30 2007	Easter Egg raffle. Thanks to the generosity of the governors many children won prizes in the Easter
Mar 29 2007	Chicks in school. We successfully hatched 19 chicks in school. Everyone checked the eggs daily once the first chick appeared.
Mar 16 2007	Red Nose Day Red noses, hair, clothes, fingernails and knees for everyone as each class offered fun and treats to all.
Feb 23 2007	Skipping Workshop Y4 learnt a wide range of advanced skipping routines then demonstrated these to everyone. They are now able to teach these routines and ropes are on sale for children and adults so that everyone can join in the fun.
