Our children experience a wide variety of activities.

Visiting experts
We are always ready to welcome visitors who can help to enrich the curriculum. KS1 pupils recently looked at old toys with teachers from artforms as part of their topic.
Science.
We offer lots of practical opportunities for science both in the classroom and around the school environment.
Here some of our Y2 pupils are investigating the best shape for a sail - and we have lots of fun!
Stepping Back in Time
We are fortunate to have some very good museums in the locality which help us to bring our history topics to life. Our Y4 pupils recently visited Clarke Hall where they lived as Tudors for the day. Y6 regularly take part in Otley Victorian Fayre with demonstrations of dancing and singing.
Modern Foreign Languages
All our pupils learn Spanish. Y4 to Y6 pupils are taught by a teacher from Prince Henry's Grammar School (Specialist Language College).
Pupils also have the opportunity to learn to speak French and German at lunchtime and after-school clubs. We also welcome support from Spanish student teachers in the Summer Term. The school also subscribes to a Spanish Language Assistant who visits the School weekly.
Design Technology
In technology the children learn a wide range of skills and work with a variety of materials. Each class completes a number of technology projects which are based on the QCA units of work. Here Y3 pupils are making model watering cans in their Technology lesson, They were very proud of the results.
